Accommodation
Camping – Near the river Suceava, between Gara Suceava Nord and the city center, Strand camp site is located (tel.214958). Despite being handed over to private houses, they are dirty,- better to pitch a tent behind 2 $.
Private accommodation – Bucovina Estur, at Stefan cel Mare 24, offers rooms for the price 10-12 $ per person and – thanks to a special agreement with Hotel Suceava – deuce for 25 $ (normal price is 55 $).
Hotels – In the five-story Socim (tel.258297), strada Jean Bart 24, 100 m from Gara Suceava, accommodation in a room without a bathroom costs 15 $ from person – a lot, as for such a standard.
Ballad (tel.223198, fax 520087), Mitropoliei street, is a modern 2 star hotel with direct telephones and cable TV. A room with a bathroom costs money 36/45 $; Visa and Master Card are accepted. Zaraz za Baladą stoi hotel Tineret (tel.215886), with spartan rooms included 10 $ from person. Sewerage leaves something to be desired, but still, it's the biggest deal in town.
On the strada Nicolae Balcescu 2, close to literally everything, there is a modern four-story hotel Suceava (tel.222497). The peace is there 101, each with private bathroom; costs 31/55 $.
At the Arcaaeul Hotel (tel.210944), przy street Mihai Viteazul 4-6, single / double with bathroom costs 29/44 $.
Having a hotel card, you can stay in the 10-storey Bucovina hotel (tel.217048), at the Ana Ipatescu strada 5 (single / double / triple with bathroom 28/45/60 $).
Gastronomy
Perhaps the most attractive restaurant in Suceava is National, opposite the Main Post Office. You can enjoy a beer on the terrace, and although the menu is only a few dishes, they are all very tasty and inexpensive.
Pizzeria Emmanuel, przy boulevard Ana Ipatescu, it is a place for the godly: smoking and drinking alcohol is prohibited inside, you can only order pizza and sandwiches, and gospel music is playing all the time. It is one of the few places in Suceava that is open longer than until 21.00.
Aida Restaurant, Curtea Domneasca street, invites you for standard pork with potatoes, and on some evenings there is also live music.
At the Bucuresti restaurant, at the northeast corner of Piata 22 Decem-brie, they serve very simple meals and cheap beer.
Entertainment
Cinema Modern, in front of the roundabout at the west end of the Nicolae Balcescu stroll, displays movies in the original language (usually American). Other, a smaller cinema operates in the House of Culture (House of Culture) on Piata 22 December.
Journey
Train – Express machines to Bucharest run fairly regularly (450 km, 7 time.), Jass (138 km, 1,5 time.) i Closed (325 km, 6,5 time ). Passenger trains, which may prove useful for tourists, they are going west to Gura Humorului (47 km, 1 time.) and northwest to Putny (73 km, 2 time.).
Bus – Buses from Suceava run, among others. to Radowiec (7 daily, 62 km), Mouth of Humor (10 daily; 30 km) i Jass (1 daily, 141 km). Eight buses a day go from Suceava to Chernivtsi in Ukraine (90 km, 7 $).
Direct PKS buses from Przemyśl run to Suceava six times a week.
