Bears Cave

BEARS CAVE

Bears Cave (bear cave), 82 km northwest of Oradei, is one of the most beautiful caves in Romania. Although it is not easy to get to it, it is worth going on a day trip here. The underground halls full of stalactites can only be visited with a guide (ok. 1 time.). The cave is definitely only open from May to September, wt.-nd. 10.30-17.00; introduction 2,50 $.

Journey

Transport to and from the cave is organized by the Agentia de Turism Crisul from Oradea (15 $ from person).

There are also three daily trains to Beius (by Holod), from where you can catch the bus marked 'Chiscau”, traveling less than a kilometer from the cave. At the time of writing, this course has been temporarily suspended, therefore better to ask, how are things going at the moment, w Crisul Tourism Agenda.
