Accommodation

Camping – The campsite in Baile is open from May to mid-September 1 May, 9 km southeast of Oradei. You go there by tram #4 South (black number) from the train station or #4 on the east (red number) z Piata Unirii do końca, and then by bus #15 also for loops, right next to Campare Venus (*261507). They are waiting for tourists here 32 cottages included in the price 4 $ from person. If there are no vacancies, you can walk half a kilometer along the road next to the bus terminus to the Camping 1 May. There is a large swimming pool with warm water close to both campsites, and it's only from here to Baile Felix 30 minutes of walking.

Hotels – Art Nouveau hotel Vulturul Negru (tel.135417), Independenci street 1, z 1908 r., it is quite shabby, but otherwise perfectly decent. Single / double without bathroom costs here 13/20 $, and the two with a bathroom 24 $. And that name as well – "Black vulture”!

At the Parc (tel.411699), at the Republicia strada 5, there is a pleasant atmosphere like in a youth hostel; single / double without bathroom costs 17/23 $, double room with bathroom 27 $. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

The Hotel Astoria is also in the center (tel.130508), Teatrului street 1, with rooms included 22 $ (two without a bathroom) and 33/42 $ (double / triple with bathroom).

W eleganckim hotel Crisul Repede (tel.132509), Libertatii street 6, several of the rooms have windows overlooking the nearby river. For a double without a bathroom you pay here 22 $, and for a single / double room with a bathroom 19/26 $.

Hotel vouchers can be used in the nine-story Dacia Hotel (tel.418656), Strand alley 1, where the cheapest doubles / doubles with a bathroom cost 48/75 $.

Gastronomy

Salate Bar, Republicii street 6b, proposes salads (potato, vegetable, fruity) and sandwiches. Eats standing up.

Tian Tang, on the Republicii strada in front of the Parc hotel, it has exorbitant prices and is very disappointing. Romanian dishes are three pages long on the menu, and the Chinese – one paragraph. The pork cu China mor is good here – with garlic and mushrooms.

Olivery, Moscow street 12, is an unpretentious basement restaurant, with nice food and reasonable prices. Open every day. do 22.00.

The most elegant restaurant in Oradea is the Mignon restaurant, Roman Ciorogariu street 1, with beautiful tablecloths and exquisite continental cuisine. A full dinner with wine costs money 4-7 $; the place is open daily until midnight.

In the cafe Orient Express, open 24 hours a day, at the train station, they serve nice coffee and cookies. The popular restaurant at Hotel Astoria is lively and smoky.

Entertainment

Theater Agenda, Republicii street 6, has a theater repertoire and sells tickets for performances at the State Philharmonic (State Philharmonic) and the State Theater (State Theater).

Journey

Train – The trains run north from Oradea to Satu Mare (133 km, 2,5 time.), south to Arad (121 km, 2,5 time.) and east to Cluj (153 km, 3 time.).

Hungary – From Oradea, they run to Hungary, among others. Claudiopolis and Corona espresso machines (both to Budapest). Tickets for international trains cannot be bought at the station, but at the CFR office at strada Republicii 2, immediately before departure (pn.-pt. 7.00-17.00).

There are also Hungarian trains running twice a day between Budapest-Nyugati and Oradea, for which you do not need to reserve seats (249 km, 4 time.). A ticket from Oradea to Puspokladany station costs 7 $, and to Budapest 16 $. One is leaving Fr. 7.15 (Varadinium), and others about 15.15 (Parties).

It is also worth asking in the information about the three passenger trains running daily to Bekescsaba (90 km).

You can also go by bus #11 from from the railway station to the border in Episcopi Bihor and there you can buy a train ticket to Hungary with a hopper.

Bus – Agentia de Turism Crisul offers coach connections to Budapest (4 times a week Fr. 10.00, 6 $), Krakow (pt. 16.30, 25 $) and cities in Austria and Germany.

In addition, from the bus station inconveniently located on the strada Razboieni 81, southeast of downtown (access by bus #12 z Union Square), there are three coaches a day to Budapest (10 time., 6 $) in Debreczyna (4 time., 3 $). The international ticket office is open from. 5.00-12.00.
