Bucharest – Gastronomy

There are two market squares in Bucharest, where you can buy inexpensive fresh fruits and vegetables. One is located near the fifth unirii, second at the fifth of Amzei. Wokół Piata Revolutii – One of the best places in Bucharest is Bistro Ateneu (tel.6134900), Episcopiei street, in front of the Romanian Athenaeum. Delicious food and a nice atmosphere attract crowds. To avoid a crush at the bar, it's best to book in advance. The kitchen is open until 1.00.

Little Italy, George Enescu street 3, Italian family company, has great pastas and unique pizzas.

China House, Nicolae Balcescu Boulevard 25, it is an atmospheric interior and more than the average Chinese cuisine. The main course costs approx. 5 $. Visa cards are accepted.

Moldavian specialties can be enjoyed in the Moldova restaurant, at the Icoanei strade 2, departing from the road of Jean Louis Calderon, na wschód od bulevardul Nicolae Balcescu.

At Piata Romana – In summer it is nice to sit in front of the Berarie Turist, on the eastern side of the square, where small meals and large mugs of draft beer are served.
